Are polarized lenses better for cycling?

Not necessarily for every rider. Polarized lenses reduce glare from wet roads or car windshields, which some cyclists find helpful. Can I wear cycling sunglasses over my prescription glasses?

Technically yes, but it is not recommended for serious or frequent cycling. Because they are not designed to fit together.
Most cycling sunglasses have a curved, wraparound shape that sits close to your face. There is no room for a second pair of glasses underneath. Forcing them to fit creates pressure points on your nose and temples, which becomes painful on long rides.
